WONDERY recently delivered an RN-80-6 pit-type gas nitriding furnace to ASIA PRIMA INDUSTRIES SDN BHD in Malaysia. The client focuses on gas nitriding for molds, carbon steel, alloy steel, and powder metallurgy products. Given the stringent requirements for atmospheric sealing and temperature uniformity in nitriding, the client prioritized control precision and energy efficiency during long process cycles.

Technical Solutions and Parameterized Evidence

1. Superior Temperature Uniformity and Control (±5 ℃)

To ensure consistent nitriding layer depth and hardness, the equipment features a specialized thermal management system:

 

Rated Power: 80kW heating power, adjustable from 1-100% to meet diverse process stage requirements.

 

Circulation Power: A powerful centrifugal fan integrated into the lid, paired with a 304 stainless steel air guide system, ensures forced atmosphere circulation.

 

Control Precision: Utilizes a Japanese Shimaden intelligent PID controller, achieving an instrument accuracy of ±1 ℃ and maintaining temperature field uniformity within ±5 ℃.

2. Robust Vacuum Sealing and Atmosphere Management

The nitriding process occurs within a sealed muffle; WONDERY provides high-reliability sealing:

 

Muffle Material: Constructed from 10mm thick 310S (0Cr25Ni20) heat-resistant stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and nitriding corrosion.

 

 

Sealing Technology: Employs double vacuum rubber rings between the lid and muffle, protected by a water-cooling circulation system to prevent seal degradation under heat.

 

 

Flow Control: Includes an ammonia drying tank and glass rotor flowmeters for precise regulation of the process atmosphere.

 

3. High-Efficiency Insulation and Durable Structure

 

Lining Process: High-quality aluminosilicate fiber blocks from Shandong Luyang, secondary pre-compressed to enhance thermal efficiency and reduce shell temperature.

 

​Heating Elements: 0Cr25Al5 resistance bands from Beijing Shougang, installed in a corrugated pattern and secured with high-alumina ceramic screws to eliminate short-circuit risks.
